ORTHO DOG HIP HOUND BRACE The Ortho Dog Hip Hound brace is designed for dogs who suffer from arthritis, mild to moderate hip dysplasia, decreased endurance during activity, hip pain, low back pain or weakness and back leg limping. The brace is also appropriate for puppies and young dogs who suffer from low back pain and early hip dysplasia symptoms. The brace also supports the low back and hip area for dogs recovering from surgery or injury. The Hip Hound is useful for older dogs who have difficulty getting around easily. The support and stability provided by the brace helps decrease pain and inflammation while being active. The Hip Hound is designed for dogs of all ages and sizes. The brace is available in small, medium and large and the brace unit is adjustable. The Hip Hound includes the neoprene brace and harness. It comes in a nylon mesh draw-string bag for easy and clean storage. Just throw the bag in the back of your car and head out for fun with your dog. Since the brace is designed to be used when your dog is active, you can leave the harness on and slip the neoprene brace on and off as needed. The Wrist Wrap has greatly improved the quality of life for our dogs, Spirit and Zoie. Both suffer from weak wrists on their front legs and would limp after a hike or a long walk. Elizabeth designed this simple brace and now they can hike long distances without pain or limping. Your dog's front legs are much like your own arms. Directly above each paw is the wrist joint. The Wrist Wrap, fitted securely, stabilizes your dog's forearm bones and lends support to the muscles and tendons of the wrist and leg. To apply the Wrist Wrap, simply wrap the neoprene brace around the front leg about 1 inch above where the wrist bends and fasten securely with Velcro. Be sure that the brace does not interfere with the flexion of the paw. Your dog will soon let you know the proper tension for support. The Wrist Wrap is available in small, medium and large sizes. He asked us to design a brace to support the ankle of one of his canine patients. Our brace has helped his patient a lot and we appreciate his request. The hock joint is on the dog's back leg below the knee and corresponds to the ankle on a human. We designed this brace to fit the natural angle of the hock to prevent it from hyper extending. The neoprene wrap also supports the joint medially and laterally allowing your canine friend to move easily and without strain on the joint.
